How to Set Up BeamMP for Multiplayer in 2026
BeamNG.drive is primarily a single-player experience, but thanks to the community-built BeamMP mod, you can drive with friends on dedicated multiplayer servers. Here's how to get set up in 2026.
What is BeamMP?
BeamMP is a free, open-source multiplayer mod for BeamNG.drive. It allows you to join servers with other players, drive together in the same world, and even participate in organised events. As of early 2026, BeamMP has over 191,000 members in its official Discord and is compatible with BeamNG v0.36 and above.
Step 1: Download the BeamMP Launcher
Head to beammp.com and download the BeamMP Launcher for your platform. The launcher handles installation automatically and keeps BeamMP up to date.
Step 2: Install BeamMP
Run the BeamMP Launcher installer. It will detect your BeamNG.drive installation automatically. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
Step 3: Launch BeamMP
Open the BeamMP Launcher and log in with a free BeamMP account (or create one at beammp.com). The launcher will start BeamNG.drive with the BeamMP mod loaded.
Step 4: Find a Server
Once in-game, navigate to the multiplayer menu. You'll see a server browser listing all available public servers. Servers are sorted by player count, ping, and game mode. Look for servers running the maps and game modes you enjoy.
Step 5: Join and Play
Select a server and click Join. BeamMP will synchronise your vehicle and position with other players on the server. You can chat, drive together, or participate in organised races and events.
Common Issues
If BeamMP fails to connect, check that your firewall is not blocking the BeamMP Launcher. If you see desync issues with other players' vehicles, try switching to a server with a lower ping. Always ensure your BeamNG.drive installation is up to date before launching BeamMP.
BeamMP is one of the best community additions to BeamNG.drive and is well worth setting up if you want to enjoy the game with friends.
