BeamNG.drive v0.38.4 — Hotfix Patch Released
BeamNG GmbH has deployed the v0.38.4 hotfix, addressing several critical issues that surfaced after the Heavy Haul update launched in December 2025. The patch targets physics edge cases with the new Hirochi HT-55 dump truck, a career mode progression bug that prevented some players from completing quarry missions, and a handful of UI glitches in the new Freeroam Session wizard.
The update also quietly slipped in the Civetta Scintilla "Fire Horse" special edition paint design — a vivid red-and-gold livery that has already proven popular in the community.
🤖 SECRET FIND: The Robot Van
However, the real story of this patch is something nobody expected. Shortly after v0.38.4 went live, eagle-eyed players data-mining the game files discovered a completely undocumented vehicle: the Robot Van. The van features a quirky, boxy design with animated robotic elements and appears to be a fully functional vehicle with its own physics configuration.
BeamNG GmbH has not officially commented on the Robot Van, and it does not appear in the standard vehicle selector by default — which is exactly why most players missed it.
How to Get the Robot Van
Getting your hands on the Robot Van is straightforward once you know where to look. Follow these steps:
1. Launch BeamNG.drive and open the Vehicle Selector screen.
2. Click the Display Options button in the vehicle selector.
3. In the Display Options menu, enable the Include Auxiliary Content option.
4. The Robot Van will now appear in your vehicle list — select it and spawn it as normal.
